So I started this blog a few years ago and then never really did much with it. With some encouragement from a few people I thought i would give it a try again. I probably won't post everyday since life is just a bit to busy for that but I will try to post a few times a week. Im not positive of the direction but It will be a mixture of decorating, design, food... hence a hodgepodge of things. With the soon to be purchase of a new house I am sure there will be a lot of home decorating to share. Hope you enjoy :)

So many projects!

So I have been neglecting this blog basically since I started it. I love reading blogs and have so many projects to share but maybe I lack the confidence of having my own blog, in following in the footsteps of the wonderful blogs that already exist. Not really sure what it is. maybe if I spent half the amount of time working on my own blog as I did reading blogs I might be pretty successful. I read a lot of blogs! anyways I thought it might be time I give this blog a little bit of attention. Hey, it might actually help me finish some of my projects. So let's try this again. Here is just a few to dos on my list to look forward to.

Jeremy's quilt
Refinished dresser
Lamp redo
2 painting
Night stand
Trunk

See there is a lot of projects to finish and share. So hopefully I will be back soon:)

Dusting off the blog...

Hello Blog world.....I was asked today if I have a blog. It kind of made me giggle. Well yes I do but....when was the last time I posted anything? Well May 25 was the last time and before that...humm... Most of my posts have been about the fact that I haven't been posting. Ha ha... Well since it looks like there might actually be someone out there who is going to read my blog its time to brush you off and really get this thing rolling :) So one more post about how I haven't been blogging and next... the recap of what I have been doing the last few months.

I will start with the list of 29 things before I turn 30? Anyone remember the list? Probably not, but anyways I made a list back in January of things I wanted to do before I turned the big 30. Well that day has come and gone and I did not check off everything from my list but I did do a few :) I probably should have given myself a little more time for the 29 things.

Well here is the list

I may not have done them all but I did train and run a half marathon and raise over $2,900 dollars for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society :) I think that was a big success right there. Last weekend I made it to the Flea market with my mom and sis, I finished whatever book I was reading and I think I may have read another after that. So I may have not finished my list but there is always next year. the ones I did finish I am pretty happy about. So those other things can move to my list of 30 before 31. YIKES!!!

number one just might be keep this blog going. Thanks Lesley for getting me to dust off the blog :) and for being my purse swap partner ;)

Purse Swap you ask? For the next post :) and more of what I have been up to the last few months.

Slacker Magee!

Just call me Slacker Magee! I have been a major slacker when it comes to this blog. Maybe I'm not cut out for the blogger world. I sure do enjoy reading other peoples blogs but keeping up with my own.... Well all I can say is slacker, is it because I am to busy, don't know what to write, sit in front of a computer ALL day long, just moved, don't have internet at home right now, working on a quilt, planting a garden, Unpacking..... Well here is my laundry list of excuses. Now if only I would take some time and blog about these things maybe my Blog would be a little more exciting. Ok, Let's try this again. I promise to post..... At least once a week.

So I have a ton of lavender growing around my house. It smells lovely, Any ideas what I could do with it? Make saches, lotion, soap...?

Oprah said so!

I was home from work sick the other day. So what did I do with myself? Lay on the couch and watch talk shows of course. I was watching Oprah and the topic just happened to be... The top 6 shoes every woman should own. The first ones I easily agreed with and decided I basically owned all of them. black kitten, cute flat, fancy heel, dressy tennis shoe, tall boot and.... last but not least a good all weather boot. This is the one that really excited me. While shopping I see these boots in many colors and patterns and always want to pick up a pair. They are just so cute and fun looking. Then for some reason I talk myself out of it and decide I don't need them. Well, Oprah says I do so I might just have to drop by Target this week and pick myself up a pair. I mean Oprah did think I need them and all:)

Now the hard part will be which cute pair to bring home with me.

Excuses, Excuses, Excuses!

Well I start up this blog and then decide to disappear for over a month. What's up with that? To be honest I am not really sure? Is is a lack of inspiration? A busy schedule? Is it that I would rather get lost in other peoples blogs then work on my own? That could be a possibility:) Well those are just a few of my many excuses. So I have decided to try this again and hopefully the next time you hear from me will be sooner then a month from now.

So part of what has been keeping me busy is the hunt for a new home. This sounded exciting at first but the more places I look at the less excited I get. My boyfriend and I have decided to live in an apartment or duplex for at least one more year before buying a house. For the past few years we have lived in a very cute 2 bedroom 2 bathroom, 2 car garage apartment that we really like. Now both of us having jobs in a city 30 minutes from where we lived decided it was time to move closer to our jobs. Little did we know how spoiled we were in Whitewater and NICE rentals in Janesville are a little more difficult to find. Why can't they look like this....

and less like....

Looks like I might have some decorating projects on my hands. Hope we can find something we like.

MIA, Restaurant Week and TnT!

Sorry I have been MIA the last few days. A busy busy week. Work of course and then it was restaurant week in Madison. Meaning I HAD to go out for dinner at least 2 nights. Tuesday night was Kickshaw which was pretty yummy and a nice warm atmosphere. The company was great also :) but the winner was Wednesday night at Fresco. First of all the restaurant is on the roof top of The Madison Museum of Contemporary Art. Its a small restaurant basically made of glass so you can see out to all the surrounding buildings. In the summer it is amazing because they have a roof top sculpture garden and you can sit out there and enjoy the night. This past summer my sister got married in this garden so I really like this place. In January its a little to chilly to be outside but still a great view. Everything about this place feels romantic.

Anyways Jeremy and I had a date night and went here for dinner. We both got Scallops as an appetizer. I was going to try the butternut squash bisque but when Jeremy implied that he wasn't going to give me a bit of his scallop I figured I better get my own. Main course RICOTTA CHEESE GNOCCHI. Yum Yum Yum! Then Dessert Cinnamon Creme Brulee. My favorite is that little crunchy part on the top. A very enjoyable night.

Sorry I didn't take any pictures of the food. I think Jeremy finds it a little strange when I take pictures of food. You'd think he'd be use to the strange things I do by now. So no pictures of the food. but I will leave you with a few pics of this wonderful building which I am sure I will have to mention again in other posts. It has so many beautiful things about it I am sure I won't be able to mention it just once.

Did I say leave you? I forgot something important I wanted to mention the other event that kept me busy this week. Last night was the Kick Off party for Team in Training. That's right I am training to run my first half marathon. Yes me! Have I ever done this before? No! Am I a little terrified? YES! but along with training to run a marathon I am going to be raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. That is the part that really has me going. I will be training to help people who are much more terrified then me trying to run a few miles. They are terrified for their lives. So in the next few months along with decorating and design I am sure you will be hearing lots about my sore legs and how beautiful my feet are looking. Plus Hopefully lots about all the money I am raising for this cause. Make sure to check back and see how my training and Fundraising are going.

If you would like to make a donation and help me with this cause please click on the TnT button on the right side of my blog and stop by my fundraising page. Every dollar WILL help.
